Local Physician’s Clinic Staying Open Later to Accommodate Working Women

Central Arkansas Women’s Group opened their new clinic off of Springhill Road back in February of this year to better serve women throughout Saline County. Now they’re adding another level of convenience to their practice. Starting June 4, Central Arkansas Women’s Group will offer extended hours for patients on Mondays until 7:00pm.

Dr. Estelle Rutledge and Dr. Rachel Farrell are the two physicians who will staff the afterhours clinic on Mondays. Both of them specialize in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

“Women are notorious for putting others’ care and wellbeing before their own,” said Dr. Estelle Rutledge, Saline Memorial Hospital OB/GYN. “We hope these extended hours allow mothers and other caregivers the opportunity to make their own health a priority.”

The most recent census showed that over half of Saline County residents commute out of the county for work.

“Most people who commute to work don’t make it home until well after 5:00pm and most businesses and clinics are closed for the day,” said Rebecca Jones, SMH director of marketing and community relations. “And that makes it hard to get everything done.”

“As someone who works, I know how hard it is to make it to appointments during the regular 9-5 work hours,” said Dr. Rachel Farrell, Saline Memorial Hospital OB/GYN. “We hope that extending our hours will provide patients with a better opportunity to get the care they need and deserve.”

Central AR Women’s Group offers comprehensive Obstetric and Gynecologic services, including a full range of noninvasive, laparoscopic, and advanced surgical procedures. To take advantage of these extended hours, call (501) 847-0834 or visit salinememorial.org for more information.
